Carved stone placed on the summit of Battle Hill in 1996 to mark the 150th anniversary of the Battle Hill engagement. According to a plaque at the top of the hill, the carved stone "also recalls the resolute spirit of Te Rangihaeata whose mana still imbues the landscape." This image was taken with the 24.6 megapixel Sony A900 camera using the Carl Zeiss F2.8 24-70mm lens with a 35mm focal length, and exposed at 1/320 sec. at F/9.
