Rob's Photography New Zealand
Image No. Monarch-1
The above image was captured hand held with the full frame 24.6 megapixel
Sony A900 camera, using the Carl Zeiss F2.8 24-70mm lens, with a 70mm focal
length, and exposed at 1/400 second at F/13, ISO 800. This image is a crop
with an image width of 1326 pixels, which is only 22% of the width of the
full-sized image of 6048 pixels. The crop gives a result that is equivalent
to taking the image with a 320mm lens. Despite the crop, the image produces
a nice 10-inch wide print.
obtain the best appreciation of the quality of the images on this site, they
should be displayed at a relatively small size, because each image has been
reduced in size to a maximum width of only 870 pixels, from the original
width of at least 4900 pixels (or 6000 pixels from my full frame cameras).
In addition, the images have been saved at a low quality setting.
