Note: Image MR 1 was taken with the Sony R1 in
2007. Images MR 2 and MR 3 were taken with the Sony A900 in 2009. The images
were taken at different times of the day and from different points on the
Desert Road. In addition, the images have been saved at a very low quality and
are displayed at a
relatively small size. Therefore, large prints of the above images
look a lot better and show a great deal more detail than can be seen above.
Click
here to read a photography forum discussion about whether
people prefer the clear sky image or the cloudy sky image. This discussion
took place on the "Sony SLR Talk" forum on the web site of
Digital
Photography Review. The discussion included advice on whether the clear
sky image could have cloud added in using an imaging program, such as
Photoshop.
To
obtain the best appreciation of the quality of the images on this site, they
should be displayed at a relatively small size, because each image has been
reduced in size to a maximum width of only 870 pixels. In addition, the images have been saved at a low quality setting.
